Job Summary
Conduct detailed cost analysis, track performance, and lead weekly meetings with plant managers to highlight budget variances and propose solutions. Close accounting periods while adhering to standards and tight deadlines, then collaborate on preparing monthly presentations to assess plant performance, risks, and opportunities. Establish annual budgets and monthly forecasts, oversee physical inventory counts, and ensure accurate valuation of continuous improvement projects. Respond to internal and external auditor requests and participate in profitability analyses. This hybrid, full-time contract role in Contreuer, Quebec requires a bilingual CPA with three years of manufacturing experience.
Required Qualifications
- CPA
- Bilingual
- Bachelor's degree in administration, commerce, or management accounting
- Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel spreadsheet
- Strong openness to new technologies
- Ability to plan and anticipate tasks and responsibilities to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple files at once and have a sense of urgency
- Demonstrate communication skills, great adaptability, and a strong team spirit
- Be able to travel to work in the plant and demonstrate autonomy
- Prioritize health and safety on a daily basis: you are an advocate for good health, safety, and environmental practices at work
- Have a good command of both French and English
