Job Summary
Lead financial and business control within an executive organization, driving compliance, risk management, and the translation of operational data into strategic management advice. Manage the annual planning cycle, prepare annual accounts and progress reports, and oversee the implementation of the Internal Control Framework. Structure and optimize financial processes while providing proactive strategic counsel to stakeholders. This interim role, lasting six months with a potential extension, requires a minimum of five years of experience in public sector financial control and knowledge of the Dutch cash commitment system. The position involves a hybrid schedule of 32–36 hours per week based in The Hague, with a deadline of Monday, August 24 for applications.
Required Qualifications
- WO werk- en denkniveau met een relevante financiële of bedrijfskundige achtergrond
- Minimaal 5 jaar aantoonbare ervaring als Controller, Business Controller of Financial Controller binnen een uitvoeringsorganisatie
- Diepgaande kennis van overheidsfinanciën, het kas-verplichtingenstelsel, verplichtingenbeheer, risicomanagement en relevante wet- en regelgeving rondom financieel beheer
- Sterk analytisch vermogen
- Proactieve houding en het vermogen afwijkingen tijdig te signaleren
- Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en ervaring met adviseren op managementniveau
- In staat om structuur aan te brengen, processen te verbeteren en veranderingen succesvol door te voeren
- Kennis van de planning- en controlcyclus
