Job Summary
Own the month-end close process and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements while conducting variance analysis to deliver actionable insights. Partner with leadership on strategic planning, cash flow forecasting, and deal evaluation by performing tenant credit analysis and reviewing contracts for financing opportunities. Transition the current bookkeeping-heavy setup into a robust finance department and collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and bankers as needed. Report directly to the CEO to bring discipline and structure to the accounting function for this growing Atlanta business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in a small to midsize business
- Deep experience with QuickBooks and transitioning to more scalable financial systems
- Proven ability to build out reporting and planning functions from the ground up
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with ownership and investors
