Job Summary
Assist the CFO with preparation of monthly financial statements, monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, and CECL methodology calculations. Oversee general ledger accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and NCUA Call Reports while leading process improvement and accounting automation efforts. Direct and develop Accounting Department personnel, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate financial reporting. Coordinate regulatory examinations, serve as a liaison for external audits, and advise management on strategic goals and performance analyses. Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and prepare procedures and policies for the accounting department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Eight years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Five or more years of related experience within a financial institution or related industry
- Extensive experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency with financial modeling software and accounting systems
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing accounting teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
