Job Summary
Manage the general ledger and oversee month-end close processes for the $100M+ Aftermarket division, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate journal entries. Lead a team of Financial Analysts by conducting monthly variance analysis, developing forecast models, and driving profitability initiatives through sales mix and margin insights. Automate reporting workflows using Python and Power BI to streamline data analysis and eliminate manual redundancies. Ensure robust internal controls and inventory accounting for a high-volume parts business while partnering with sales and finance to deliver actionable business intelligence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous experience with performing account reconciliations
- Previous experience booking journal entries
- Previous experience successfully managing an accounting team
- Proficient in MS Word
- Proficient in Excel
- Proficient in IFS
- Proficient in Power BI
- Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to find better and more efficient ways of doing things
- Responsive to operational and department needs
- Flexible/adaptive to change
- Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of supported balance sheet reconciliations
