Controller & Accounting Manager

Controller & Accounting Manager leads all accounting operations, including close processes, financial reporting, internal controls, audit coordination, grant accounting, and compliance for a nonprofit, multi-funding organization. Supervises the Accountant and AP/Payroll Generalist; responsible for GAAP-based statements, audit readiness, grant reporting, and the integration of accounting systems (notably Sage Intacct) with payroll and grants. The role requires strong nonprofit accounting expertise, audit and grant management experience, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to leadership while maintaining strong internal controls and regulatory compliance. Location is remote with Anchorage, Alaska as the primary applicant-location constraint; reports to the COO and partners with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
