Job Summary
Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, driver settlements, and reconciliations. Prepare monthly financials, cash flow, and budgeting reports while ensuring compliance with IRS and DOL regulations for Forms 941, 940, 1099-NEC, 1120, W-2, W-3, and 5500. Track and report on HSA, per diem, and other pre-tax benefits, manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules, and support external audits. Monitor tax and employment regulation changes and collaborate with a CPA for year-end tax filings and planning. Requires minimum three years of experience as a Controller or Sr. Accounting Manager with proficiency in QuickBooks or similar software.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Controller or Sr. Accounting Manager
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, McLeod, or similar)
- Knowledge of GAAP and federal/state payroll tax reporting
- Experience managing payroll for 100+ employees
Desired Qualifications
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Trucking industry or logistics experience highly preferred
