Job Summary
Manage the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting functions, overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate U.S. GAAP financial statements. Lead cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis, while partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to drive margin improvements and operational profitability. Supervise accounting staff, develop internal policies, and prepare financial packages for senior leadership, auditors, and the Board. Support tax filings, global expansion activities, and capital investment analysis, providing actionable insights into product margins and inventory performance.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting
- 2+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time
- Required use of standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier, etc.
- Must be able to walk through the factory environment safely
Desired Qualifications
- MBA preferred or equivalent working experience
- Preferably Medical Device industry
- Strong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional team members
- Proven experience and ability to use AI tools to improve processes and production
- Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Possesses the ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively work through others
- Team player who manages collaboratively with the ability to influence management, in some cases without authority
- Exhibits strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
