Job Summary
Lead core accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial reporting for a construction-focused firm. Manage month-end close, GAAP compliance, and internal controls while overseeing Percentage of Completion accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition. Partner with project managers to forecast performance, analyze margins, and manage cash inflows/outflows. Support annual planning, budget consolidation, and external audits. Supervise AR, AP, and general ledger teams while optimizing Sage 300 CRE systems. Collaborate with Payroll and HR to maintain operational workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Construction industry experience
- CCIFP certification
- CFMA membership
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Strong financial analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong follow-through, customer service orientation, and responsiveness
- Effective communicator and relationship-builder across teams and departments
- Demonstrated success developing teams and applying strong leadership and talent-development skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with Sage 300 CRE
