Job Summary
Controlled Substance Processor in a warehouse processes returned/recalled pharmaceuticals, identifying items as non-controlled, Class 2 (CII), or Class 3-5 (CIII-V) for sorting; records item data using scanners, digital scales, and software, and completes Form 222 for CII items. Requires following SOPs, inspecting item condition, counting/measuring/weighing, inputting information into computerized systems, and maintaining a clean, orderly workstation. Works under direct supervision in a cage or secured area, with potential overtime and safety/quality responsibilities, and collaborates with others to meet production goals while complying with client contracts and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma (or its equivalent)
- 1-3 years minimum of two year’s work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Working knowledge of computers
- Able to follow standard operation and safety procedures
- Able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
- Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; overtime (>8 hours/day) as needed
- Able to assist with other operations within the warehouse
- Able to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures
