Job Summary
Controlled Substance Material Handler in warehouse operations handles returned/recalled items in a secured area. Responsibilities include opening containers, visually matching Return Authorization (RA) information with items, preparing paperwork for scanning, creating totes with RA and tote barcode placards, loading pallets for storage, and maintaining a clean workstation. Requires adherence to SOPs and safety procedures; forklift operation may be required if certified. Works under direct supervision, may move between scanning lines, and supports a fast-paced production environment with overtime as needed. Must have High School diploma or equivalent (or 2+ years warehouse/production experience) and the ability to follow procedures, lift up to 20 pounds regularly, and handle box cutters and packing materials. Required Qualifications
- High School (or its equivalent) or minimum of two years’ work experience in a warehouse or production job
- Able to follow standard operation and safety procedures
- Able to work in non-climate controlled environment
- Able to push a cart or hand truck up to 100 yards; able to use a pallet jack
- Able to grasp and use box cutters and seal zip lock bags
- Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (overtime) as needed
- Able to assist with other operations within the warehouse, as needed
- Able to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures
