Job Summary
The Control Valve Technician will maintain, overhaul, and repair various control valves including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuator types. Responsibilities include calibrating valve positioners, performing diagnostics on valve control systems, conducting functional and pressure testing of control valves, and adhering to safety regulations. Candidates must possess NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent, and have experience in an industrial setting with control valves and actuators.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering
- ONC in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience working with control valves and actuators in an industrial setting
- Proficient in the use of calibration equipment and diagnostic tools
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and safety
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong record-keeping and data management skills
