Control Technologist

Job Summary
Design schematics, program PLC and HMI, and test new control panels for automated production lines in the industrial food industry. Modify existing control panels, troubleshoot electrical installation, wiring, and freezer application issues related to operation and sanitation. Complete field modification instructions and maintain customer service logs while communicating with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up. Train customer operators and monitor freezers in the monitoring system to provide technical support within time limits. Perform 24/7 roster shift schedules and adhere to all Health and Safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or automation equivalent field
- Experienced in Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View and PowerFlex Drives
- Proficient in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
- Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Ability to effectively communicate in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
- Travel availability up to < 30%
- Able to work on a rotating shift
- Eligible to work in Canada
