Job Summary
Control Systems Specialist Engineer role in a hybrid-capable environment based in Eagan, MN. You will design and integrate control panels and hardware, layout pneumatic systems, create electrical schematics and machine electrical distribution, and perform software design for PLC/HMI. Responsibilities include equipment specification, safety control system design, integration and commissioning of control systems, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and codes. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, and may involve up to 25% travel domestically/internationally. A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in STEM plus relevant experience is required (or an equivalent combination) with familiarity in Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens control systems and experience in regulated manufacturing settings. Hybrid work arrangements are allowed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of experience in machine control system design, build, and equipment commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment
- OR Associate’s Degree/Technical Diploma in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline (completed and verified prior to start) and five (5) years of experience in machine control system design, build, and equipment commissioning in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Experience using Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens industrial control systems and software
- Experience working in automated/regulated manufacturing environments (medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace) or similar
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically or internationally
