Job Summary
Design and certify engine control systems for gas turbine engines, including new centrelines, legacy derivatives, and hybrid demonstrators. Develop system-level requirements and collaborate with integrated product teams to align functionality with engine and aircraft specifications. Create control system test plans and procedures for validation on simulated benches, engine test cells, and experimental flight aircraft. Review test data, generate certification reports for airworthiness authorities, and provide technical support to manufacturing and aftermarket sectors. Engage in continuous process improvement based on lessons learned. This full-time role is based on-site in Mississauga, Monday through Friday, with a salary range of 101,500 CAD to 151,500 CAD.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace)
- 5 to 15 years experience in control systems engineering
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace); combined with 5 to 15 years experience in control systems engineering
- 5 to 15 years experience in control systems engineering
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace)
- 5 to 15 years experience in control systems engineering
- Relevant experience in gas turbine control systems
- knowledge of dual channel FADEC
- An understanding of aerospace software DO-178C
- knowledge of DO-254 firmware
- This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday
- based in Mississauga
- performed exclusively on-site
- The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check
- obtaining the required clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience in gas turbine control systems as well as knowledge of dual channel FADEC would be considered an asset
- An understanding of aerospace software DO-178C and knowledge of DO-254 firmware is considered desirable
