Job Summary
Lead development and integration of electro-hydraulic implement control systems for Caterpillar machines, including model-based design (MATLAB/Simulink), embedded software integration, calibration and V&V; contribute to AUTOSAR-based software strategy and modular implementations; support NPI through system integration and production readiness; guide safety-related activities, define fault/degraded modes, and ensure safe-state operation in alignment with ISO standards; collaborate with hydraulics, electronics, software validation, and product teams to deliver robust control architectures.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
- Strong experience in EH implement or hydraulic machine control systems
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink model-based development
- Experience with AUTOSAR architecture and modular software platforms
- Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, and validation practices
- Ability to lead technical efforts and collaborate across hydraulics, electronics, software validation, and product groups
- Familiarity with safety standards and functional safety concepts (ISO)
