Job Summary
Support Vector's electricity network by gaining hands-on experience in SCADA, ADMS, and network operations. Progress from observation and shadowing to applied project work involving real-time monitoring, data interpretation, and control systems engineering within live system environments. Assist with documentation, testing, and system support during a full-time, ten-week placement. Develop analytical and problem-solving skills while working alongside experts in electricity distribution.
Required Qualifications
- Third or final year of an Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree
- Interest in power systems, control systems and network operations
- Developing analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand how complex systems work
- Organised
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to communicate well
- Ability to listen and learn from others
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
