Job Summary
Direct control systems testing, equipment commissioning, field testing, and operational readiness testing while planning, designing, programming, and upgrading PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA systems. Develop construction drawings including network block diagrams, control panel details, wiring termination diagrams, instrument location plans, and installation details. Lead equipment selection, cost estimating, layout coordination, and multi-disciplinary project support. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, 3-8 years of PLC/HMI/SCADA experience, and 1 year of field work. Travel up to 20% of the year may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 3-8 years of experience in PLC programming and HMI or SCADA configuration
- 1 year of field experience
- Working knowledge of piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and motor control schematics
- Demonstrated ability using Ethernet and control system communication protocols
- Experience with Rockwell, Wonderware, and similar PLC/HMI software
- Travel up to 20% of the year
- Drug free workplace (pre-employment drug test and random testing)
