Job Summary
As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of industrial control and communication systems for electrical protection in power stations. Responsibilities include applying power industry technical experience, supporting control and instrumentation systems design, contributing to development of communications using industrial protocols, collaborating on secondary systems, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, and managing project planning and risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Working towards Chartered status (CPEng) and registration (RPEQ, RPEV)
- Proven experience in thermal and renewable power generation projects
- Proven track record in delivering complex projects
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in delivering complex projects within consultancy environments
- Strong understanding of safety in design, risk management, and QA/OH&S systems
- Skilled in technical reporting, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring
- Active involvement in industry associations and commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to manage scope across multiple projects and deliver best client outcomes
