Job Summary
Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, test, and support industrial and municipal control systems for cement, food and beverage, water and wastewater, and pharmaceutical industries. Responsibilities include designing control systems, interpreting sketches/drawings, using AutoCAD for final drawings, programming/configuring PLCs, HMIs, drives, and control systems, coordinating with drafting and shop personnel, performing electrical checkout/testing, participating in factory/client acceptance testing, supporting installation and startup at client sites, and communicating with internal teams and customers. Key skills: PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Siemens), HMI software (Wonderware, FactoryTalk), DCS (Honeywell, DeltaV, ABB), SCADA (Rockwell, Aviva, Ignition), ISA standards, electrical wiring, ladder logic, drives, and ability to learn new software/systems.
Required Qualifications
- Louisiana-licensed professional engineering firm experience
- PLC and HMI/SCADA systems experience
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Electrical wiring and ladder logic
- Experience with Rockwell, Aviva, Ignition SCADA
- Ability to program/configure PLCs, HMIs, drives, control systems
