Job Summary
Control System Specialist II responsible for designing, testing, and implementing projects within the SJE Revere automation and control solutions portfolio. Tasks include panel design, hardware selection, PLC/HMI application development, project management, in-shop and field testing, and providing technical support to customers. Requires designing electrical control panels, coordinating fabrication, creating production drawings, and performing verification activities across multiple projects with travel to customer sites; role involves 50% travel and operates out of the Birmingham, AL area with a hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed at least five (5) years of educational and/or work experience in the control and instrumentation field.
- Experience with electrical schematics required.
- Basic computer software skills using Microsoft Office Suite, E-Mail, Internet, AutoCAD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with customers, vendors, company employees and subcontractors.
- Ability to assist in designing electrical equipment and components, writing, and testing new software programs as well as creating technical specifications and writing operational documentation.
