Job Summary
Monitor and control aggregate plant operations from a centralized system, adjusting equipment programming to maximize production while maintaining safety and environmental standards. Start, regulate, and maintain plant processing equipment including mobile units like skid steers and front-end loaders, conducting pre-shift inspections and completing required paperwork. Operate the Rail Load out System and associated billing tools, answer incoming calls, and maintain daily shipping and production reports. Perform load out area maintenance, operate weight trucks and scales, and assist in plant repairs as needed. Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and ensure accurate ticket records. Work irregular shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in varied weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have mathematical skills
- Must be computer literate and have ability to learn new software
- Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) effectively
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language
- Must be able to read and interpret gauges/dials and make competent decisions related to processing equipment
- Must be able to work irregular shifts and work days/nights and weekends as required
- Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner
- Must be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots and hearing protection
- Must be able to climb stairs to a height of 100 ft. and work at this height
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to operate radio, CB radio, computer and other equipment as required
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb and reach around all areas of equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to walk across steep/rough terrain
- Must be able to use hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 90 dbs
- Must be able to work in varied environments (in all weather conditions heat, cold, wet, humid, dry and/or dusty conditions)
- Exposure to cement, clay, limestone, shale, and other raw materials and various chemicals, solvents and lubricants
- Attendance is mandatory and is a condition of employment for New Hire Orientation and Safety Training in person at our Corporate Office located in Dallas, Texas
