Job Summary
Operate the Stabilization Unit by moving hazardous material through the facility, computing mix ratios of reagents, and adding mixture to vats for treatment. Complete Stabilization logs, Treatment Certifications, and Transfer logs while conducting material audits and tracking hazardous waste through the process. Decide the order of processing loads and coordinate activities with Heavy Equipment Operators, Hazardous Waste Material Samplers, and Stabilization Technicians. Interpret disposal decisions on hazardous waste profiles and relay safety precautions to affected employees. Load materials into vehicles, install strapping or padding, and use material handling equipment as required. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with alternating Saturdays from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Pay ranges from $23.79 to $35.64.
