Job Summary
Control Room Operator at a biomass plant in Demopolis, AL. Monitor HMI for fiber intake, drying processes, and pellet production; oversee movement of pellets into railcars; communicate safety concerns to plant leadership; provide leadership and training in safety, production, quality, and operating policies; lead in incident/accident investigations; coordinate cross-shift handoffs and holiday coverage; supervise pellet process operations including moisture, dryer temps, in-feed speed, and dust control; collaborate with HR, Safety, Training, and senior leaders.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in heavy industry operations an asset
- Valid Driver’s license
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
- Can operate motorized equipment safely
- Ability to complete forms and basic checklists
- Team player with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable to changes in work schedules or tasks
