Job Summary
Operate the control room using HMI tools to monitor incoming fiber, manage the drying processes and pellet production, and oversee movement of pellets into railcars. Maintain safety communications with plant employees and leadership; contribute to housekeeping, chemical safety via SDS, and training requirements; provide leadership and mentorship, participate in incident investigations and cross-shift briefings; coordinate with loaders, production leads, and safety/HR to ensure continuous production, proper fiber mixes, and adherence to safety, quality, and operating policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license
- Experience in heavy industry operations (asset)
- Ability to operate mobile equipment safely
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
- Can complete forms and basic checklists associated with cleanup and rail car loading
- Adaptable to changes in work schedules or tasks
- Team player with analytical and problem-solving skills
