Job Summary

The Control Panel Technician role focuses on assembling, wiring, testing, repairing, and refurbishing WaterForce automation control panels while supporting new panel builds and modernization projects. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and upgrades on automation control systems; executing panel retrofits to migrate legacy assets to current hardware and standards; maintaining detailed repair histories and CMMS documentation; supporting instrumentation, flowmeters, actuated valves, and other automation equipment; collaborating with Automation Engineering, Programming, and Field Operations teams on upgrades and special projects; and promoting continuous improvement and standardized practices in the fleet, while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, or control panels
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and record-keeping skills
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
