Job Summary
Identify process gaps and challenge the status quo to foster a proactive risk and control culture. Provide operational risk guidance and analysis for new business, products, and initiatives to stakeholders. Oversee governance of business operational risks by escalating issues to line of business and Firmwide committees. Support business partners in conducting value chain analysis of key processes and heightened risks while engaging control colleagues across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology functions. Synthesize large amounts of data to formulate appropriate conclusions and actionable results, analyzing metrics for emerging risk to develop timely, sustainable solutions. Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment to understand root causes and identify control breaks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business-related function
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence business leaders
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Authorized to work in the United States
