Job Summary
Act as a control advisor to Front Office Trading and Banking teams to ensure a sustainable end-to-end control environment. Conduct end-to-end analysis of business risk, design controls, and monitor their effectiveness. Identify, escalate, and manage the resolution of control deficiencies. Prepare business stakeholders for internal audits and external examinations and conduct walk-throughs of existing controls. Create high-quality presentations for Control Committees and track key risk indicators. Serve as a subject matter expert for Front Office teams on operational risk and policy adherence. Evaluate the risk and control infrastructure for new products and change proposals, including AI or blockchain technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of experience in financial services industry with background in front office, controls, compliance, middle office, operations, audit, product control, or risk management; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business related function/operation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey complex ideas simply
- Ability to understand and summarize relevant business data, identifying key messages for Senior Management
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
