Job Summary
Control Engineer responsible for electrical/controls engineering on large-scale projects; design control system from scratch (hardware/software/network), electrical panel layouts and power calculations, risk assessment, component selection and configuration, control system programming, and control system installation/commissioning. Develops control logic software and user interfaces; creates schematics detailing control system configuration and wiring; collaborates on AutoCAD panel layouts; assists with initial start-up and debugging of integrated systems and develops system documentation. Works on automation and control system integration projects for clients in industries such as food and beverage, entertainment/theme parks. May act as lead on some projects and guide lower level engineers and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- BSEE or BS in Engineering preferred
- An AA in Engineering Technology or equivalent with equivalent experience may be substituted
- 5+ years of experience in control systems, ladder logic programming, SCADA programming and their applications, safety systems, safety sensors
- Experience with instrumentation and control design as well as PLC and/or SCADA is desired
- Experience with AutoCAD is also desired
- Experience with ride control or theme park applications is a plus, other industry background will be looked as well
- Preferred experience in ASTM standards, attractions industry, safety engineering, instrumentation, components, and logic programming. Experience with AutoCAD is also desired
