Job Summary
Receive and process emergency information and requests such as medical emergencies, threats of violence, suspicious activity, and fire alerts. Initiate emergency response efforts, coordinate with stakeholders including law enforcement and dispatchers, and draft after-action reports. Monitor security cameras and life safety systems to facilitate response efforts while assisting building operations with after-hours support. Perform security equipment cleaning, inventory, and testing duties. Maintain professional grooming, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to de-escalate situations during critical incidents. Work full-time across morning, evening, and night shifts on a 3-to-4-month rotation with evening and night differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work morning, evening, and night shifts on a 3-to-4-month rotation
- Be computer literate and able to use standard office software
- Dress professionally and have excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards
- Have excellent customer service and phone skills
- Remain calm in emergencies and able to de-escalate situations
- Commit to working with the team, studying and applying post guidelines and job duties with high accuracy
- Pay attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills required
- Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED
- Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana)
- Must not have been convicted of any felonies
- Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (Child, Infant, and Adult), or willing to become certified and be physically capable of administering lifesaving care when needed
- Must be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary)
- Must be able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio
- Must be able to use a smart mobile phone and computer to type, check and respond to emails, and complete online training
- Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- High School Diploma or GED
