Job Summary
Electrical Subject area SME provides technical leadership across the bp-operated fleet and wider bp organisation. The role ensures safe, reliable and compliant operation of high-voltage marine power systems, oversees management of OT cyber risks across bp-operated and Time-Chartered vessels, and delivers assurance that operations meet OMS and ISM through self-verification and ship visits. Responsibilities include providing electrical SME support to vessels, leading project and contract management, CMMS/IT&M assurance, Management of Change submissions, industry representation, and collaboration with partners. Requires maritime electrical competency, HV marine power/automation expertise, OT cyber risk experience, and professional membership; hybrid work setup with travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Maritime electrical Certificate of Competency, electrical engineering degree, or Equivalent professional training and experience in marine electrical systems
- Experience in Marine electrical systems and HV marine/offshore power generation and distribution
- OT cyber risk management experience in marine or offshore environments
- Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., IET, IMarEST)
