Contribution and Eligibility Analyst

Job Summary

Analyze eligibility reports and data to determine trends, create forecasts, explore anomalies, and troubleshoot data issues. Process department activity in the benefits administration system, including payments from employers, COBRA eligibility payments, and eligibility maintenance functions. Create and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports, charts, and graphs that promote analysis and identification of system improvements. Serve as a back-up for the Finance Analyst, Eligibility Assistant, and Employer Relations Specialist regarding technology liaisons, month-close processes, and new facility setups. Respond to inquiries regarding pharmacy eligibility and special enrollments via ticketing systems and emails. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or five years of equivalent experience, with three to five years in auditing or collections. Salary is hourly, non-exempt.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business-related field preferred, or at least five years of equivalent professional experience
  • Three to five (3-5) years of prior experience in auditing, collections, or other business activities
  • Exceptional skills in data analysis and interpretation, and drive business strategy through data-driven insights
  • Strong project management skills, with an aptitude for leading end-to-end projects
  • Experience with desktop computers, laptop computers, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of business, including effectively communicating with peers, leads, managers, executives, and external partners
  • Strong analytical, research, technical skills, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong accountability and the ability to manage-up and laterally and work cooperatively with all levels of staff
  • Detail oriented and able to handle numerous assignments
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with demonstrated effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business-related field preferred, or at least five years of equivalent professional experience
  • Familiarity with payroll systems/business checking accounts is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities while meeting deadlines and schedules with frequent interruptions
  • Willingness to learn about all areas in the agency
  • Knowledge of the Fund's benefit administration system (Bridgeway/Basys)
  • Experience with project management software, such as Smartsheet
  • Experience working in a fast-paced hybrid work environment, remote and in-person
  • Experience with virtual conference software, such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
  • Internal and external awareness of social movements, labor movements, and political issues that impact the work and the organization
