Job Summary
As a Foreman, you will supervise production activities on-site, ensuring effective planning and execution of daily operations, quality control, and team management. Responsibilities include developing action plans, tracking task completion, addressing operational obstacles, and participating in production meetings. You will be responsible for employee evaluations, skill development, compliance with safety standards, and managing discipline in collaboration with HR and management. Key skills required are communication, problem-solving, and leadership in a unionized environment.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (DEP in Welding-assembly, welding, or boiler making)
- Five (5) years or more of experience in personnel management
- Ability to successfully complete the security clearance process under the Federal Government's Contract Security Program
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in managing unionized personnel
- Functional knowledge of MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
