Job Summary

Lead autonomous prime and subcontract governance for multi-million dollar federal contracts, managing full lifecycles from pre-award through closeout with minimal supervision. Draft, review, and negotiate complex NDAs, teaming agreements, and joint venture structures while safeguarding corporate terms. Proactively monitor portfolio financial health, including LOF, LOC, and burn rates, to deliver executive forecasts without prompting. Establish compliance frameworks to maintain CPSR readiness and lead representation during DCAA and DCMA audits. Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, and OCI risks by formulating actionable strategies and alternative clauses. Partner with business development to review RFPs, draft compliance matrices, and advise on labor category structures. Oversee subcontractor performance metrics and drive proactive communications with prime partners. Serve as the principal contact for government contracting officers and executive leadership. Requires 8–10+ years of DoD/IC contracting experience, active TS/SCI clearance, and deep FAR/DFARS expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of progressive, direct government contracting and subcontracting experience in the DoD, IC, or DoW space across all major contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF)
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Deep, expert-level knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement standards
  • Proven capability to operate independently, manage competing corporate priorities, and make sound contractual decisions with infrequent executive intervention
  • Demonstrated experience successfully negotiating complex prime and subcontract terms with enterprise-level partners and government authorities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise contract management software (e.g., CobbleStone, Unanet)
  • Prior experience preparing a small-to-midsize defense contractor for a formal CPSR audit
