Job Summary
Contract Manager to oversee end-to-end lifecycle of government contracts, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS/ITAR-EAR and customer requirements; lead negotiations with U.S. Government agencies and prime contractors; review RFPs/RFQs/SOWs/terms and conditions; identify contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies; draft, review, and negotiate contract terms, amendments, change orders and subcontracts; serve as primary contracts point of contact for assigned programs; partner with Program Management to monitor performance, scope, schedule, funding and deliverables; support audits and compliance reviews (e.g., DCAA, DCMA); maintain accurate contract files; provide guidance and training on contractual obligations and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Finance, Law, or related field
- [5+ years] of progressive contract management experience, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry
- Strong working knowledge of FAR and DFARS
- Demonstrated experience negotiating complex government contracts
- Ability to interpret legal language and translate contractual requirements into actionable guidance
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Active or ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance, which requires US Citizenship
