Job Summary

Manage the delivery of concurrent construction contracts, ensuring safe completion on programme, to budget, and to specification. Lead and support site managers and teams while driving health, safety, environmental performance across all projects. Control subcontractor and supply chain performance, manage procurement and cost, and ensure quality assurance with regulatory compliance. Build and protect relationships with clients, consultants, and the supply chain. Contribute to pre-construction and tender input when necessary. Requires seven years of experience delivering contracts safely and on time, with knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts and CDM legislation. Full UK driving licence and SMCTS/CSCS required.

Required Qualifications

  • Substantial experience as a Contracts Manager or senior site manager, typically seven years or more
  • A track record of successfully delivering construction contracts safely, on time, to budget and to specification
  • Sound knowledge of construction contracts, such as JCT or NEC, and commercial principles
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM, health and safety legislation and quality assurance
  • A confident communicator, able to manage site teams, subcontractors and client relationships effectively
  • A practical, hands-on approach to resolving problems on site
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • Full UK driving licence

Desired Qualifications

  • HNC, HND or degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related discipline
  • Professional membership, for example MCIOB
  • Experience in relevant sectors, for example affordable housing, education or commercial
  • Commercial awareness gained through budget or profit and loss responsibility
  • First Aid certification
