Job Summary
Contracts & Compliance Specialist responsibilities include ensuring subcontracting strategies align with project goals and company policies; reviewing and interpreting prime contract requirements to ensure subcontract compliance; managing the Small Business Program; timely submission of ISR and SSR; performing periodic audits on supplier classifications and sourcing processes; organizing and participating in outreach programs, supplier development events, and training sessions to promote small business opportunities; and preparing and presenting reports on small business program performance to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university (or enrolled and in process of acquiring); Advanced degree (MS/MBA/JD) preferred
- 1+ years related experience and/or training...Contracts, Pricing, Suppliers, Sourcing, Purchasing, Supply Chain
- Experience in an Industry that deals Government Contracts...Aerospace, Military / Defense, or Energy is preferred
- Relevant Aerospace & Defense industry experience and knowledge of FAR / DFARS preferred
- Strong negotiation skills preferred
- Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
