Draft and negotiate a high volume of trade book acquisition contracts and related documents (e.g., author contracts, amendments, reversions, terminations); enter key contract information into Biblio and track contract status; manage signature and payment processing in DocuSign; interpret contract details including rights and territories; provide department support and handle special projects; collaborate with editors, legal counsel, royalties staff, and business managers, while leveraging Word, G-Suite, and electronic signature tools.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in book publishing contracts
- Experience drafting and negotiating trade book publishing agreements
- Familiarity with DocuSign and electronic signature tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and G-Suite
- Ability to manage high volumes of work across multiple priorities simultaneously
