Job Summary
Draft and negotiate subcontracts, manage claims and disputes, and prepare correspondence with subcontractors while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Monitor subcontractor performance, coordinate insurance requirements, and process change orders to maintain alignment with prime contract procedures. Track milestones, prepare progress payment certificates, and maintain organized records in the contract management system. Support compliance audits, prepare status reports for management, and collaborate with legal, procurement, and project teams to mitigate risks and resolve discrepancies. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, construction management, or related field of study
- 3+ years of proven experience in contract and subcontract administration, including claims management and correspondence drafting in the construction industry
- 7+ years of proven experience in contract and subcontract administration, including claims management and correspondence drafting in the construction industry
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, additional and/or different hours, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge and experience managing contracts for bridge, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects
- Professional certification such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or similar credential
