Job Summary
Contracts Administrator overseeing contract documentation and administration for a complex project in Australia. Role includes maintaining head contracts and subcontract templates, coordinating tendering and negotiations, ensuring pre-commencement compliance (insurance and statutory), preparing/agreeing progress and extension of time claims, finalising claims, and securing Contract Value Agreements for project completion. Works with project managers and subcontractors across marine, civil, electrical, and bulk earthworks components, including seawater intake, desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage, and related infrastructure, with first production expected in 2028. The role emphasizes contract administration, variation management, claims handling, and timely payments within a diverse project team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of head contracts and subcontract templates
- Ability to manage contract documentation and ensure compliance with timing and procedural requirements
- Experience in preparing scopes of work and coordinating subcontractor tendering and negotiations
- Knowledge of subcontractor approval processes including insurance and statutory compliance
- Skilled in preparing and negotiating progress claims and extension of time claims
- Proficiency in tender evaluation and recommendation processes
- Ability to process subcontract variations and assess extension of time claims
- Experience in finalising claims and securing Contract Value Agreements for project completion
