Job Summary
Oversee worksite safety and provide flagging services for railroad rights-of-way, ensuring full compliance with Federal Railroad Administration regulations. Conduct job briefings, monitor track conditions, and coordinate with train dispatchers to grant permissions within established limits. Document all activities including incident reports and daily work logs while enforcing all Railroad, State, and Federal policies. Requires 50% to 85% travel, ability to work in all weather conditions, and completion of required federal and company-specific training.
Required Qualifications
- Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills
- Communicates effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability for long-term travel assignments, including multi-month deployments
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a railroad company preferably in the maintenance of way or TY&E departments
- Successfully completes all required federal, client, and company-specific training
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment/recurrent background checks
- Must be able to successfully pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must be able to successfully pass classroom training
