Job Summary
Oversee worksite safety and provide flagging services for construction and maintenance projects within railroad rights-of-way. Conduct job briefings, monitor track conditions, and coordinate with dispatchers to ensure personnel remain clear of active tracks while enforcing Federal, State, and company policies. Document all activities including incident reports and daily work logs for regulatory submission. Requires 50% to 85% travel, ability to work in all weather, and successful completion of federal and company-specific training. National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. is a certified DBE/WBE firm providing safety services across the continental United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills
- Communicates effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability for long-term travel assignments, including multi-month deployments
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a railroad company preferably in the maintenance of way or TY&E departments
- Successfully completes all required federal, client, and company-specific training
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment/recurrent background checks
- Must be able to successfully pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must be able to successfully pass classroom training
