Job Summary
Oversee worksite safety and provide flagging services for construction and maintenance crews within railroad rights-of-way. Conduct job briefings, monitor track conditions, and communicate with train dispatchers to ensure personnel remain clear of active tracks. Enforce all Federal, State, and company policies while documenting activities including incident reports and daily logs. Travel 50% to 85% of the time in all weather conditions. Requires valid driver's license, two years of railroad experience, and successful completion of federal and company training.
Required Qualifications
- Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills
- Communicates effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability for long-term travel assignments, including multi-month deployments
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a railroad company preferably in the maintenance of way or TY&E departments
- Successfully completes all required federal, client, and company-specific training
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment/recurrent background checks
- Must be able to successfully pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must be able to successfully pass classroom training
