Job Summary
Execute warranty work on sold homes by performing essential duties including managing customer appointments, picking up and verifying parts from the factory, and installing new components or repairing issues per work orders. Maintain a logbook as required by the Department of Transportation and service the company vehicle, ensuring it remains clean, stocked, and serviced regularly. Complete work orders and return them to the factory via mail or personal delivery. Possess proficient handyman skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and drywall to repair common service issues associated with new manufactured homes. Represent Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and demonstrate strong customer relation skills to ensure client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid driver's license
- clean driving record
- Ability to troubleshoot, reason and solve problems
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Understand and execute instructions
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Understand and comply with work safety policies and procedures
- Possess carpentry skills in the following areas: Trim work, Roofing, Window replacement, Door realignment, Drywall repairs, Siding, Flooring, Plumbing, Electrical
- Proficient home repair skills
- Repair/replace toilets, water heaters, light fixtures, door/cabinet hardware
- Maintain company tools and materials
- Inform management of any issues
- Represent Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and professional appearance
- Demonstrate strong customer relation skills
