Job Summary
Source and screen candidates for construction and mining positions using job boards, social media, and industry networking. Conduct preliminary interviews to assess suitability and verify certifications, licenses, and training against project safety standards. Build relationships with clients and subcontractors to identify staffing needs, coordinate assessments, and manage candidate pipelines. Act as the primary contact for clients, providing updates on sourcing progress and addressing concerns professionally. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 2-3 years in construction/mining recruitment, and familiarity with ATS. Certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, specifically within the construction/mining industry
- In-depth knowledge of construction/mining job roles, skills, certifications, and safety requirements
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Certification in HR or recruitment (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
