Contracted Onsite Counselor

Job Summary

Provide confidential short-term counseling, consultation, and employee support services at a designated client worksite. Conduct brief drop-in consultations and scheduled sessions while assessing concerns, offering resources, and responding to crisis situations. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with organizational contacts, all while adhering to ethical, legal, and privacy standards. Promote awareness of onsite services through outreach and engagement activities. Maintain a professional presence during contracted hours and work independently with minimal supervision. Requires a Master's degree, current unrestricted license, and three years of post-licensure experience. Onsite eight hours per week as needed by an assigned client.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Current unrestricted professional license in the state(s) where services are provided, including but not limited to LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD
  • Minimum of three (3) years of post licensure counseling experience
  • Experience providing short-term solution-focused counseling
  • Ability to work independently in a workplace-based counseling setting
  • Professional liability insurance meeting organizational requirements
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client locations
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and any additional screening requirements as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), workplace behavioral health, or organizational wellness programs
  • Experience providing onsite counseling services in corporate, manufacturing, healthcare, public safety, or government environments
  • Training and/or experience in crisis response, trauma-informed care, or critical incident stress management
  • Familiarity with workplace mental health trends and employee wellness initiatives
