Job Summary
Contracted Faculty of Practice Adjunct: Biology teaching BIO 120 General Biology I and BIO 300 Microbiology in person at Concordia University, St. Paul. Responsibilities include facilitating quality student learning, maintaining a strong presence in the course (online activities where applicable), providing substantive and timely feedback within LMS guidelines (typically within five business days), responding to student inquiries (24 hours on business days; 48 hours on weekends), and collaborating with academic advising and the broader academic team to ensure student success. Pre-written course structure; in-person modality with labs and lectures totaling 4 credits (biology labs 1 credit, lectures 3 credits). Qualifications emphasize a Master's degree in biology or related field (or a related Master's with tested experience) and a terminal degree preferable; preferred experience includes on-campus teaching and online teaching experience. - Experience Required: For colleagues possessing a doctorate or master's degree in a biology related discipline, tested experience is not required; For colleagues possessing an unrelated advanced degree, tested experience required (10,000 hours in content area or 18 graduate credits toward terminal degree)
