CONTRACT Young Child Mental Health Specialist

Provide consultation to Early Learning Center staff regarding individual children, including guidance on challenging behaviors. Assess individual child needs through direct observation and meetings with teachers and families to develop developmentally appropriate interventions. Maintain a caseload of 3-5 clients, holding weekly therapy sessions with children and caregivers. Address classroom-level concerns impacting quality of care, including daily routines, transitions, and social emotional literacy. Complete assessments, provide developmental guidance and referrals, and actively assist families in linking to clinical services. Offer psycho-education and support to families, while delivering trainings to center staff and parents on social and emotional topics. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings, in-services, and supervision as needed. Work 20 hours per week with late hours at least one night per week.
