Job Summary
Contract Writer for a Christ-centered pregnancy resource; responsible for researching, outlining, and writing a full-length manuscript (45k–75k words), ensuring theological alignment with The Daily Grace Co., collaborating with editorial teams through revisions, and delivering a comprehensive per-project proposal including title, controlling idea, summary, target audience, comparable titles, author bio, chapter outline, and sample material. Remote contract engagement with no guaranteed ongoing work; compensation determined per project.
Required Qualifications
- Contract writer with experience developing long-form manuscripts (45,000–75,000 words)
- Ability to research, outline, and write a full-length manuscript
- Capacity to align with The Daily Grace Co.'s doctrinal commitments
- Experience collaborating with editorial teams through multiple revision rounds
- Proven ability to write in a Christ-centered, gospel-centered voice
- Ability to submit a single PDF proposal including title, controlling idea, one-paragraph summary, target audience, comparable titles, author bio, chapter outline, front/back matter, timeline, and sample material
- Experience writing for Christian publishing or theology-focused resources
- Understanding of audience needs (expectant mothers) and ability to address emotional/spiritual challenges during pregnancy
- Past publishing or writing experience and ability to demonstrate subject-matter expertise
- Availability for per-project contract engagement and potential for collaboration across multiple projects
