Job Summary
Provide direct front office technology support to Equities traders, middle office users, and Compliance teams on the trading floor. Monitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity to ensure system stability and availability. Diagnose and resolve real-time trading issues, including detailed investigation of compliance-related inquiries. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from traders, ensuring proper tracking, prioritization, and transparency. Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for vendor and internal development teams to deliver enhancements. Maintain and continuously improve the knowledge base, support runbooks, scripts, and technical documentation. This role requires onsite presence in New York City for five days a week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be local to New York City
- Work schedule: Onsite 5 days
- Over 5 years of experience supporting mission critical front office trading applications within Equities
- Experience with U.S. Market Making
- Experience with ETFs
- Experience with Electronic Trading
- Experience with Global Program Trading
- Experience with Convertible Bonds
- Strong understanding of high touch trading workflows
- Strong understanding of FIX protocol
- Strong understanding of OMS platforms
- Strong understanding of IOI processing
- Strong understanding of market data
- Strong understanding of CTM flows
- Strong understanding of Tidal or other scheduler systems
- Proven experience handling regulatory and compliance driven requests and inquiries
- Experience with Reg NMS
- Experience with Reg SHO
- Experience with CAT
- Experience with ACT
- Experience with ORF
- Experience with TRACE
- Proficient with SQL querying
- Proficient with JIRA for issue tracking
- Proficient with Excel for operational analysis and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across front office, middle office, and control functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to convey complex technical issues to non technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Self-motivated and adaptable
- Ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast paced, high pressure trading environment
- Computer Science degree
